Certificate II in Split System Air-conditioning

3 day course

The Certificate II in Split Systems course is designed to give you the knowledge and skills to install and commission split systems up to 18 kW rated capacity. This covers wall hung, cassette, and ducted units. The course is designed for electricians, plumbers or other suitably qualified tradespeople who already have some knowledge of Split Systems.

The course will teach you the industry standard techniques in soldering, pressure testing, pipe forming, flaring, vacuum testing, refrigerant charging and recovery, and more. Legislation and the rules covering the use of refrigerants will also be taught to ensure that you are able to apply best practices when you carry out these works.

Successful completion of this course will allow you to apply for a Refrigerant Handling Licence with Arctick

Nationally recognised qualification UEE20111

An accelerated pace 2 day course is also available for tradespeople with significant experience

The course is currently run on either a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of a single week, or 3 consecutive Fridays for students with work commitments

On-site training can be arranged for groups of 4 or more

Minimum requirement: electrical qualifications

The total cost of this course is $1990 per seat. Students booking online with credit-cards payment or by direct deposit are required to place a deposit of $1500 and pay the balance on the first day of the course.
Please note that minimum numbers for training courses apply. Courses may not proceed if booking numbers are insufficient. We will of course assist with transferring to another date or provide a full refund if that is not suitable.
